Maud vs. Bragg

Common Sense over Criminals

Priorities as DA: Safe streets. Strong communities. Common Sense.

Maud's Priorities

Protect New Yorkers by reducing violent crime, subway crime, and retail and package theft.

Repeal Alvin Bragg’s soft-on crime “Day One” memo and resume prosecution of fare evasion, retail theft, and resisting arrest.

Help the mentally ill get off the streets with mandatory in-patient treatment.

Investigate fraud and corruption in government services and contracts.

Keep jails out of our neighborhoods by keeping Riker’s Island open and fixing failed bail reform laws.

Support at-risk youth and disrupt the school to prison pipeline with investment and programming in New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) and under-resourced communities.

Bragg's Record

66% of crimes go unprosecuted, and less than 7% of prosecutions lead to jail time.

72% increase in police officer stabbings between January 2023 and March 2024.

70% arrested in 2023 were repeat offenders, with an average of 20 prior arrests per person.

Downgraded 52% of felonies to misdemeanors, and only secured a felony conviction 51% of the time: only 24 out of 100 felonies are convicted.

Dismissed 31 of 46 cases of anti-Israel rioters at Columbia University who destroyed property and threatened personnel and students

Pursued charges against victims Jose Alba, Daniel Penny and Brian Chin for defending themselves and innocent bystanders.
